On Black

It's kind of crazy to think it's been seven years since I first got hooked on John Mayer. I lost count of how many of his concerts I've been to around the thirteenth or fourteenth show. He never disappoints. His live shows are just phenomenal. And with everything that's happened this week with his Playboy interview, you could definitely feel the change in his attitude. It's like he's been humbled back into the old John. The John that so many of us fell in love with back in the day. The John that doesn't take anything for granted. I don't know how long our old buddy will stick around, but I'm happy I got to see him in concert in the thick of this flashback.

I'm not really all that happy with any of the shots I took last night with my parents' point and shoot. For one, there's barely any control over any settings on that thing. I had to experiment a lot to get anything decent. I need to go to some smaller local shows and practice this type of shooting with my dslr because I really like the effects the lights give off and I want to play with that some more when I really have the flexibility of messing with my settings. Either that or I need to figure out a way to get media credentials so I can lug my baby into every concert. :)
