Bio:

Andrew 'Andy' David Samberg (born August 18, 1978) is an American comedian, actor, writer, and a member of the comedy troupe the Lonely Island. He is a repertory player on Saturday Night Live and has appeared on Premium Blend and Arrested Development, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, the Daily Show With Jon Stewart, and the Late Show with David Letterman. Samberg played the lead role in the 2007 film Hot Rod. He also provided the voice of Ham III in the 2008 animated film Space Chimps.
Samberg was born in Mill Valley, California to an elementary school teacher Margi (née Marrow), and Joe Samberg, a photographer. He is Jewish, and his maternal grandfather, Alfred J. Marrow, served as the executive chair of the American Jewish Congress. Samberg graduated in 1996 from Berkeley High School. He studied film at New York University and UC Santa Cruz.
In September 2005, the Lonely Island confirmed that Samberg would be joining Saturday Night Live as a featured player, while Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, his fellow members of the Lonely Island, would join the show's writing staff.
